PSA – Projeto Saúde e Alegria

The Health and Happiness Project “(Projeto Saúde e Alegria”, PSA) is a non-profit civil initiative that operates in the Brazilian Amazon since 1987, promoting and supporting integrated and sustainable participatory community development. With an emphasis on social mobilization, the PSA team places communities at the center of the decision-making in the programs it implements, in order to generate real and lasting benefits in social organization, the environment, health, education, economy, culture and digital inclusion, among other issues, with the aim of improving the quality of life and the exercise of citizenship. The concept of "Health and Happiness" is based on the joint work with Amazonian communities through the use of art, recreation and popular communication.
