First Encounter of Tourist Guides (Rurrenabaque, Beni- Bolivia)

Between April 7th and 8th, the First Encounter of Tourist Guides was held in Rurrenabaque (Beni), with the objective of training tourist guides in the use of mobile applications and citizen science tools to monitor environmental quality and biodiversity in the regions where they operate.

This event was organized by the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), the Citizen Science Network for the Amazon and the Sustainable Tourism Council of the Rurrenabaque: Madidi-Pampas Destination (CTSD), with the financial support of the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and Conservation International, within the framework of the Green Amazon project (funded by the Government of France).
