World Fish Migration Day (LIOP- UFAM)

In accordance with the agenda of the Citizen Science for the Amazon Network, the Laboratory of Ichthyology and Fisheries Planning of the Madeira River Valley (LIOP) from the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), Biodiversity Research Program – PPBio and together the Fishermen’s Colony Z-31 and the Municipal Market, was held on 24 and May 25 an event on the importance of fish migration to commemorate the World Fish Migration Day, held at the Fishermen’s Colony Z-31 and the Municipal Market of Humaitá, respectively.

This action counted on the active involvement of the fishermen, through a participative activity to identify the fish migration routes of the mid-Madeira region.
